Happy Halloween from Sassy Scrubs

Happy Halloween! We celebrated last night with our traditional viewing of "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". As my kids get older, they seem to think this show gets funnier and funnier. Maybe Charlie Brown isn't really for kids after all. Even I was laughing at Snoopy crying over Schroeder's sad piano playing. Too funny.

It's fun to think of the number of our Sassy Scrubs customers wearing their Halloween themed scrubs this week. They'll be in full costume today, and thankful that their Sassy Scrubs are much more comfortable than those itchy Halloween costumes they may be wearing tonight when they celebrate out and about.

Stressed Out! What to do?

We all carry stress from the day to day challenges of everyday life. Your car won’t start; your washer broke; you spilled your coffee on those important papers….it happens everyday. But, if you wear scrubs, you know that these stress-builders are minor compared to what you face at work everyday. Helping care for the sick or hurting is indeed gratifying but it takes its toll on you, emotionally and physically, from the stress you just can’t shake when you leave work. My solution to relieve stress is a shopping trip for something small but luxurious (and usually made from chocolate), followed by a hot bubble bath, a hot cup of Jasmine Tea, and a thrilling paperback. That little bit of pampering makes me feel like I can face another challenge with a bit of an attitude adjustment. It’s not much, but it is enough to get me through.

They arrive at work with their jacket sleeves pushed up to their elbows because the sleeves are too short for them. Four inches too long, or seven inches too short - both scenarios mean sloppy and disastrous when the customer is attempting to present a professional look to patients. New Solids! New Flannels! Same Promise!

Sassy Scrubs is true to our word! We promised to let you know when we added new solids scrubs fabrics to our line and here we are with the scoop! We just added a smoky grey Cotton Solid to our line that you'll absolutely need for fall and winter. It's called Charcoal Cotton and it matches everything! Our Cotton Solids scrubs fabrics are great for those folks who hate the crunchy feel of poly/cotton and just want a natural fiber against their skin. I'm with you and I love our new Charcoal Cotton scrubs fabric!

Solid Colors - Of Course!

We received an email a few days ago from a visitor to our website (http://www.sassyscrubs.com/), asking if we had solid colors for our scrubs. The question made me shake my head. Of course, we have solid color scrubs fabrics. Then, I sat back in my chair and smacked my palm to my forehead. The question made me realize that we do such a great job of showing our customers all the wonderful scrubs prints we have available that we really don't point out all of our great solid color scrubs fabrics! So, the answer to that question is, "Of Course", and we apologize for hiding that fact!

By today's count, with more on the way, we currently have a whopping 59 solid color fabrics from which to choose your custom made Sassy Scrubs. That number is hard for even me to believe! So I decided to break down the count into our solids categories. Here are the stats:

We carry 14 Cotton Solid Scrubs Fabrics - these are all 100% soft, wonderful cotton. My personal favorite scrubs fabric.

Next, we have 2 Flannel Solids Scrubs Fabrics. Again, all 100% soft, fluffy cotton flannel. We just received a new shipment of flannel scrubs fabrics, so there will be more flannel solids to add within the next week. The new Flannel Solids are actually called Chamois Flannels so they are luxuriously soft and fluffy on the outside, but smoother on the inside - like the two sides of an expensive chamois leather. They breathe like cotton and feel great against your skin like cotton, but also have the warmth of flannel - the best of all worlds. So, keep watch for the new Cotton Flannel Solids - they'll knock your socks off!

Lastly, our amazing variety of poly/cotton scrubs solids surpasses any other scrubs company you'll be able to find. We boast a spectacular 43 different poly/cotton scrubs solids from which to choose. That number amazes even me! If you can't find a solid color here to match your prints scrubs, we will be absolutely astonished.

So, we wish to thank our website visitor for making us realize that we have not tooted our Solids Scrub Fabric horn loudly enough. It just was not fair of us to keep this spectacular rainbow of colors all to ourselves. We have seen the error of our ways, now, though, and we promise to do a better job of letting you know when we add more solid fabrics to our fabric line up. It's only fair of us to share.
